Acoustic Guitar Eq Pedal

Does an EQ pedal help my acoustic guitar sound better?
I'm thinking of buying a used fx40B DOD EQ Pedal to connect my guitar in my amp (Peavey Studio Pro 112) using a Dean Markley pickup. I'm sure that will improve the sound on my guitar, but what I use most is the sound. Do these pedals EQ (particularly this model) is good for improving the sound of the guitar too?
You can, but be careful. Guitars are much more prone to feedback, so you can find if you Turn It Up you have to roll back to a certain frequency to avoid feedback, and that will affect your overall sound. PS: An EQ pedal will certainly improve the sound of his electric guitar. I can get my power to produce the sound I want in the first place, setting equalizer.
