Acoustic Guitar Hygrometer
not use a fan to my room to wet my guitar?
I live in Arizona, and I'm trying to take care of my acoustic guitar. until I can get a case, humidifier and hygrometer, I could stop using my fan to make my room more humid because it is only 35% humidity and the idea is to reach 45% -55% humidity. Although the fan keeps my room in a perfect 70 degrees, it might be too hot for my guitar, if I turn it off. What I do?
Here is an old trick to keep adequate moisture in your room. Fill a small bowl of wate rand keep it near the guitar. If their is a lack of hyumidty, the water goes down into the bowl. Just keep adding. If yours is excessive moisture, water will be the same. This is an old method, but is the internet. We still use it in our showrooms. as for the fans, do not worry. Do what I suggest. At least, it will prevent your guitar from cracking.
