Action to reduce electric guitar?
I know I have to turn some. What do I turn? Tell me the place, rather than name. Please answer this detail and words easy to understand for someone inexperienced like me. Please do not give me a one sentence response. Also … Any Another suggestion of modifications and adjustments in metal / heavy style of guitar? I have an Ibanez RG5EX1 if it helps to know that. I'll be watching this question so if you need specifications to give a good answer questions. Thanks Action is how close the strings are to the fretboard I think. I just know it helps with the beat, pull-offs, and hammering.
First of all check if the neck is straight with a very slight spacing at the 7th fret. If you keep the Feret 1st and 12th fret and look down nect to the 7th fret, its should be 1 / 16 "space between strings and scale. If the rope is touching the 7th fret, you need rotate the tensor 1 / 4 "maximum (counterclockwise) to release some tension. And if the difference is greater than 1 / 16", turn 1 / 4 turn towards time to straighten it. Then, lower the strings on the bridge until it begins to hum. Now lift the string to eliminate the buzz. Do this on all strings. is the maximum you can. Forget filing chestnut scale. There is no reason to do this if you do not know what you're doing. NOTE: Make sure that if you put, 008 super-light, put the chords first, set it, then adjust the sinker. Not the opposite.
