Fender Precision Bass Guitar Center
I take a taxi to a new Fender amp or Bass?
Guitar Center was to look for an amp stack that includes Acoustic: Acoustic B200H 200W Bass Head and B115 250W 1x15 Cab and B410 400W 4x10 Bass Cabinet for $ 699.99. I was looking to get it for gigs (hi amps have now is only one 15w practice amp) Then I saw a Fender Precision Bass (Fiesta Red, with a silver pickguard), for $ 629.99. I know that the bass was not American because of the price, but I looked amazing and played great. What I have now is down an Epiphone Thunderbird IV, but I was looking to upgrade to a Fender P bass for some time. I'm short on cash and I can get one of these for Christmas. So what should I do: Take the entire cabinet and just play with my Thunderbird or go to the bumper and not worry about an amplifier of the (a PA system could take the power)?
I suggest you go to the amplifier. With a 4x10 "and 1x15 closet ", the sound is very well-rounded, projecting all frequencies well. Firefox is not really an ideal low, but it's usually better to spend more on your amp than your bass - a crappy amp will make any bass sound tiny, but even a low-low-end can sound good in a good amp. Moreover, calling the PA system is generally a good idea - if your amplifier has a post-EQ DI output, then the signal is transmitted to the PA system will have the settings tone of his bass and amplifier.
