What is the best thing to buy to give my electric guitar a heavy metal / rock sound?
I have a Dean Vendetta XM Electric Guitar, and a Crate GX-15 amp to start with. I'm trying to learn to play heavy metal / rock with it, but I can not figure out what to do to get that sound. There is a synthesizer or sound card I need to buy to get it? What is the best thing to buy for it is not that expensive (more than U.S. $ 60), because I really do not have the funds now for something super expensive. I just want to have a rock sound as the sound of electric guitars played by Arists this song: http://www.imeem.com/kawaiiayumi/music/_Co3Y6Nx/the-gazette-the-invisable-wall/ Please give a listen to this song, and tell me what I need to do to get that sound, thank you. Thanks, I was hoping I did not need to give a new that sound that I know do not have $ 200, but I kind of thought that might be. There is no one cheaper, like maybe a 30W which is decent for about $ 60 or so?
The pickup of a guitar make a world of difference, your should be fine though. EMG would give you more sound you're looking for though. But they would be about $ 300 (not including installation) So it's an expensive mod. And to be honest you will actually get a good heavy sound of an amplifier 15W (no offense, of course) because they have almost no bass, which is what you need. The 30W would be perfect =] I have the Peavey PowerSlide 75W, you can get 30w Vypyr a man for $ 200, is an amp impressive with a ton of effects and tones as what your looking for. So, I honestly get a new amplifier, I know you probably do not want to hear it, but this is really the best way you can get that sound you're looking for. And the pickup in non Vendetta are the best in the future I invest in a new =] Or put in a new pickup you have, because it is a nice lookin guitar. I feel that was so long lol, but I really I hope that at least some of that helped the man =] Keep on rockin m / Mmmm ... I personally have never seen an amp that cheap, unless you get a used one. You can get a distortion pedal for about ... $ 45. It will only be limited with a low power amplifier, unfortunately = [
