If I start to play classical guitar and then switch to an electric guitar is ok?

the question says it all. Will it be hard to I chose the option? I prefer electric, but this is the only one who can choose, my school doesn't offer the guitar (class) BTW, I am a beginner.

Hey Lady The transition will be much easier than you think. At first hand, you will develop the finger strength and dexterity in good classical guitar. After to hit the electric, the gameplay is sooooo much eaiser, but the technique also differ in power. Hammer-ons, pull-offs, double, play, etc. .. are much easier to do and more effective on the electric guitar. Good luck and practice on a daily basis.
