Is this a good bass pack to buy for a beginner bassist?

its not bad for starting off.....''p'' basses or anything squier is the bottom line of fender.....but since your just starting, i would recconmend it...however, i swear ive seen that package cheaper....closer to $200.......but its not a bad investment to begin with....that way if you decide bass isnt for you....you didnt blow alot of money.....plus you can always upgrade the wiring set up/pickups and neck to get great tone and range out of them.........but defintely shop around on that price.....hope you stick with it,and enjoy bass!...i know i do....
