Can i use this to prevent rust on my electric guitar?

can i use this to apply on my Edge Pro bridge to prevent it from rust? if not, please tell me what type of thing i could use to protect the metal bridge of my ibanez electric guitar.
Yes, that will probably work just fine, although, frankly, a little touch of any grease or oil, like even some Vaseline, will help prevent rust from starting.
